What can we say about this gorgeous wedding of Skye and Chris in Kefalonia that we simply can’t take our eyes off? Mythos Weddings created such a lovely setting for their ceremony and reception with bright colors and breathtaking flowers from Bosonis Flowers. Their celebration location was overlooking the sea and as the bride shared with us «For both of us, the speeches were a highlight – sitting there on that veranda overlooking the Ionian Sea with the sun setting, surrounded by most of our favorite people, the candles flickering, and the warm sea breeze on our skin listening to our loved ones recounter old and new memories of our lives before and after – we were on the highest of highs.». We love every romantic look between the couple, and we are so happy that we can share every detail through these beautiful images from Vicky Bekiaridou Photography!

«We met at work and often were both the first people to arrive. Chris started dropping by my desk every morning to say hello and the next thing I knew he had asked me out for drinks and the rest is history. We went to stay at Burley Manor, a hotel I adore, in the New Forest for a long weekend and Chris popped the question during a sunset walk. », the bride shared with us.
Our wedding took place on the breathtaking island of Kefalonia in Greece and the location largely dictated the style and aesthetic. We wanted an elegant yet playful, simplistic, and timeless decoration that complimented the view.

«As you can see, you don’t need much in the form of decor to make an island wedding stunning. We opted for wild florals in hues of oranges and pinks that mimicked the colors of a Kefalonian sunset as our wedding took place in the late afternoon-evening. Instead of a traditional arch for our ceremony, we wanted something that was unique and effortless, so we had the florist embellish the track of a tree with our florals – we love the outcome! For table settings, we selected natural wooden chairs, sage green linen napkins, accents of gold from the cutlery to compliment the surrounding nature, and to compliment the florals. My favorite touch to the reception decor was the Dahlia charger plates – I think they were the perfect choice to add some texture & also compliment the florals. »
I love the Chic and Stylish Weddings Instagram and used the featured real weddings as inspiration while planning! It was helpful to see lots of styles of Greek weddings during the process.

«Don’t put so much pressure on yourself to have the perfect wedding day. I think there is an unrealistic expectation that one day can be so flawless, that nothing will go wrong. Too much emphasis is placed on having the perfect wedding. From the exterior, weddings often look perfect, but things can and do go wrong & sometimes this is out of your control. In reality, our wedding day was far from ‘perfect’, but there were perfect moments in between it all that we choose to focus on instead. My advice would be to focus on what’s truly important – your marriage, your commitment, and your relationship. »
«With our wedding being a summer wedding in Kefalonia I knew I needed something light and breathable so I could enjoy our day despite the heat. A Madi Lane dress was a no brainer for me and after seeing a picture of the Daisy dress, my mind was made up. Once I tried the dress on, I fell more in love with Daisy. My dress had a simple silhouette with a low back, nude underlay and covered in dainty floral lace with a long train. For the party, I changed into a short bejeweled and sparkly dress from Self-Portrait. »
