All About Paris Our "mini Pig" (Yes, We Have a Pet Pig!)

1. This is  Paris' idea of helping with the washing, sitting on the clothes...2. Paris loves hiding under her blankets on the sofa!3. This was Nino's cushion, but now it's Paris', she's such a devil! :)
I always get asked tons of questions about Paris, so I decided to share with you a post dedicated exclusively to her. Paris is our pet pig, she´s almost 5 years old and she has been living with us since she was about 2 months old. When we got Paris, we were told she was a mini pig, that she would grow to the size of a medium sized dog and would weigh MAX 10-12 kilos... well... NO. She's weighing about 35-40kilos, 110 cm long and 40 cm high. But she's still my baby. And she also thinks she's my baby, although she is extremely strong and stubborn... :) 1. Again, Paris, sofa and blanket. She loves it!2. This is Paris' second favorite spot. She lies on the floor and sunbathes!3. The fields just 5 minutes away from where we live!
We live in a 60sqm FLAT in the middle of Valencia (Spain). Luckily we live very near the fields, so I am able to take her out for long walks. She walks minimum 1.5-2h a day, every.single.day. Pig are VERY clean, they do not smell at all! Paris always smells of clean clothes. Although she was a cute house and lovely blankets, she prefers to sit on the sofa, where she can move all the cushions to fit her need and sunbathe a little. Pigs love sunbathing, but if your pig has pale skin, be aware that you must pit some suncream on them! Paris is vegetarian, she eats fresh vegetables and fruit. Her "treats" are pieces of dry pasta, she loves them! And we love them because they are cheap, don't smell and easy to carry about.1. My little helper, having a little nap on the clothes.2. This is what I found the other day in the morning. Making herself comfortable.3. Munching on some leaves on our way home from a long walk.
Paris has very short legs, but they are extremelly powerful. She can run and jump, much more than most people think! She also loves getting washed. I have taught her to jump into the bath where I bribe her with pieces of pasta. She loves being in the water providing it's warmish and that the water doesn't get to high!
Pig make many different noises for different things.
Did you know that Pig are much more inteligent than dogs or cats? The have the inteligence of a 3 year old child! :)
