Vodafone foundation along with its partners aims at awarding NGOs/NFPS who encourage such tech advancement in the field of Mobile technology & for the same #M4G awards came into being. Introduced in 2011, under the framework of mBillionth Awards, founded by Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) has completed three successful years who awarding and scaling up the avenues to play with mobile as a medium to make life easier and simpler. In the last 3 years, 13 organizations have been benefited by the financial and physical assistance in the four areas:

- m – education
- m – governance
- m – business inclusion
All pertaining to the innovation in mobile technology.
