True Blood writer and producer Alexander Woo is taking on the new HBO thriller Headhunters. The series is based on a book by the same named penned by Swedish crime novelist Jo Nesbø. Woo will write the adaptation and serve as executive producer of the series.
Described as a dark comic piece, Headhunters is about a corporate headhunter whose life and marriage are suddenly targeted by an unknown individual. A film has already been made about it in Sweden.
Headhunters marks the second series to hit the US based on books by the same author. I Am Victor went to broadcast network NBC.
