Hearty Chic's latest post drew my attention to Alexa Chung's Valentino Spring/Summer 2012 Ready-to-wear show back in Paris Fashion week. I'm not sure how this outfit escaped my notice but I just had to re-blog. The red dress is understated but sophisticated and the bows add a feminine, girlish quality. Charlotte Olympias collection has cropped up in a few of my recent posts and this ensemble is typical of Alexa, putting a childish play on a classic look and pulling it off 110%. I'll be honest, i'm not a huge fan of the bag as an individual piece but with this outfit it works.
And not only does this outfit look stunning on the front row, it works in real time, paired with sunglasses in Tuleries Garden, the look is subtle and in no way overworked.
