Alethea AI's CharacterGPT lets users create NFT avatars using texts

In order to facilitate the development of NFTs using AI, research and development firm Alethea AI has launched a decentralized application with Polygon. Because of this, users can make NFT avatars by entering text.

So, what is CharacterGPT, exactly?

Alethea AI claims that using CharacterGPT, “anyone to rapidly create, train, and trade AI characters as NFTs on Polygon.” Unlike other AI technologies, such as Open AI’s Dall-E 2, this creation does more than just generate images based on text. CharacterGPT generates full interactive AI characters from “a single-line prompt in natural language.”

Where can I buy an NFT?

Those interested in minting CharacterGPT NFTs can visit mycharacter.ai with the Polygon dApp.

In preparation for the release of the distributed application Polygon, a digital representation of Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal was developed. A 1/1 AI NFT collectible was made from his “writings, public statements, and interviews” to commemorate this digital representation.

In addition, Nailwal has approved the NFT by placing a gold checkmark next to his collectible. Alethea AI does this with the help of “AI Protocol: a property rights and ownership layer for Generative AI that is now live on Polygon.” Further, Naiwal released the following statement:

“I have seen firsthand how Alethea AI has developed this technology over the last few years and through their CharacterGPT AI engine.” Therefore, his team is excited to “continue supporting Alethea as it builds on Polygon and to bring the power and potential of generative AI to the thriving ecosystem.”

When could you use CharacterGPT?

You’re probably wondering where CharacterGPT could actually be useful, given how intriguing the concept sounds. Alethea AI’s COO Ahmed Matyana discussed some potential uses for the company’s groundbreaking new technology. Matyana stated that “users can now create interactive, intelligent characters that could serve as their AI companions, digital guides, or as NPCs in games”. Additionally, the company believes that famous people will use CharacterGPT to make digital duplicates of themselves.

More than that, it can “serve as digital companions for their fans.” Digital assets have many applications beyond the metaverse, including those in the gaming industry, the museum sector, and even in stadiums.

After OpenAI released ChatGPT, people everywhere started talking about artificial intelligence. In light of this, we might reasonably wonder where else AI will find its way into the world. Artificial intelligence (AI) is ubiquitous in Web3, from AI-generated avatars to AI-created artwork. Whether or not AI is planning to release a PFP NFT set is unknown at this time.
