Although it’s been a slow moving week and day for me personally, Twitter domain activity increased nearing the close of business Friday afternoon when Andrew Rosener, CEO of Media Options, tweeted in regards to an alleged domain fraudster.
Andrew apparently crossed paths with this fraudster using a gmail email address ([email protected]) and attempting to swindle him for 2L .com domains using fake @wavesplatform currency conveniently named “Bitcoin”.
Searching Google and a few other search engines for his email address turns up nothing, so it’s likely a newly created gmail account.
Nevertheless, do chime in should you without question be able to shed light on this person/persona and their dubious domain dealings.
In addition, I strongly encourage each of us to remain diligent in our domain buying and selling activities, especially when dealing with cryptocurrency-laced offers.
Regardless of the method of currency, it’s worth noting to perform extensive due diligence when buying and selling domains to ensure protection from fraud and theft activity as mentioned in this story.
