It’s tough being a photographer – you never know which celebrity might be about to whack you one in the face. Actor Alec Baldwin, who stars in 30 Rock, is the latest sleb to give a knuckle sandwich to a lensman. Baldwin was getting hitched to his belle, Hilaria Thomas, in New York, when Daily News photographer Marcus Santos took a picture of him. Said Santos: “He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me — one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. He lunged at me like raging bull.” Baldwin has taken to Twitter to defend himself.
“He was like crazy, you know? There was an eruption of mad. I think something’s wrong with him,” said witness Goren Veljic, quoted on The Daily News.
I suppose if the offending paparazzi was wearing a hoodie and I shot him, it would all blow over…

Top billing goes to a very bald and umbrella-wielding Britney Spears, who took out her frustrations on a photographer’s car. Not to be undone, Katie Price (aka Jordan) soon followed her example.
2. Naomi Campbell
Close behind is leggy clothes horse and diamond-receiver Naomi Campbell, for allegedly hitting an Italian photographer and putting him in hospital. She damaged him with her nails, apparently. Ouch!
3. Jude Law
Pretty boy actor Jude Law hit out against a female photographer outside a bar in London in 2009. “He hit me full in the face,” she said. Ironically, he’d been starring in Hamlet that evening – the protagonist of which is a man not known for his readiness to take action.
4. Justin Bieber
Whiter than white practically sempiternally pupebscent popster Justin Bieber has also been in a fracas with paparazzi – in May this year, he and his girlfriend Selena Gomez went to a film, but were met outside it by a group of paps. Bieber lost it and charged. One of his shoes came off. Gnarly.
5. Prince Harry (allegedly)
Prince Harry’s car allegedly once hit a photographer – that’s very much allegedly, though. Pap Tony Margiocchi said he was left with tire marks across his legs. The car was an unmarked police vehicle. A royal ruckus, indeed.
