The Pretty City brought everything good about Alternative music back with their new album Cancel The Future.
The Pretty City just released their new album Cancel The Future on 3/23 and the made it one you want in your collection. They have brought back Alternative music that we have all missed in the recent years. With the song like Same As Before they have a classic U2 sound that you haven’t even heard from U2 in recent years. This is sound that I have missed for a while now. Don’t get me wrong I like the new stuff that U2 is doing but it will never beat the classic stuff they have in their collection. I mention this Hall of Fame band because when I was listening to this song I thought I was listening to them and I had to double check what I was listening.
It takes a lot for a band to sound like that and take on that sound. Having The Pretty City be able to pull off that sound it shows just how talented this band really is.
The song that kicks off the album Nothing Happens For Free had me hooked right away. It’s hard for an album to have me hooked and interested in what is coming. Being able to do that show me that this band is able to take hold of what you are doing and make it about them. You don’t always want that but when you are starting out and taking Alternative music back that is what you want.
