As we are in mid holiday season we look for something fresh to refresh our buds and Arran Fagan’s debut album Weight of Time is that answer.

Album Review | Arran Fagan – ‘Weight Of Time’I was able to listen to this up and coming folk singer album and we have to say I loved it right away.  The album is very well put together and you don’t feel like you have to go wait this doesn’t go with what I was listening to before.  Everything flows so well it’s really like you are listening to one big song.

The album starts off with the title track Weight of Time.  What drew me right away was the way the guitars were used. They way they were used made me think of Mumford and Sons or even Of Monsters and Men.  Also, the vocals are done so well you close your eyes and you feel like he is right there singing.  The lyrics are something that also pulls me in.  I feel like these lyrics really are relatable to everyone and as an artist, you are not speaking for just one person but usually a bunch of different people.  Arran was able to do that very well and needs a round of applause for that.

Arran knew how to close the album as well with the song The Well.  This song also is a good way to end the year as well. The lyrics make me think of people wanting to do a fresh start and just start over.  Which is what a lot of people like to do when the new year starts.  It also speaks to people working hard and not getting much of anything back or going far.  This is again a song that is very relatable at this time.

Arran Fagan was able to capture what his experiences were but make the lyrics relatable to everyone. The sound he has is raw and passionate and that is what makes this album so great from start to finish.  I think that’s why people are loving this sound of music nowadays.  I would say this album is 5/5 stars and one you must get from that holiday money you have received.
