The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accidental shooting Church Street in Gurley.
When deputies arrived, they discovered that an unsupervised 2 year old child had suffered a self inflicted gunshot to the hand. The child was taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The Department of Human Resources was notified and is handling the situation.
