By Dr.jenifer Sayyed @SayyedJenifer

Would you like to see how Dubai used to look in old times? If yes, then do visit Al Seef – where the old meets the new.

My sister got to know about this place through the internet and she showed me the pictures. I was captivated by the amazing look of old Dubai and how it offers both traditional & modern experiences.

Starbucks café is one of the famous spots in Al Seef which went viral on Instagram and became a mandatory photo spot for travellers.

Al Seef: A must-visit tourist place in Dubai where old meets new

Al Seef

Located on the banks of Dubai Creek, near the historical neighbourhood Al Fahidi is Al Seef, a place where culture and adventure come together. With its wealth of historical sites, souks, and attractions, it is a must-visit destination for travelers to Dubai.

We observed that less tourist visit here mainly foreigners. The Indian tourist was very less may be because many don’t know about this place and a travel agency doesn’t cover this destination in their itinerary.

Anyways, we were glad that it was not jammed.

I was bewildered by this traditional vintage mosaic Turkish Moraccon multicolored lamps displayed outside the stores.

4. Savor local cuisine

Try Kanafeh at Nablus Kanafeh, a famous Middle Eastern dessert made from filo dough, baked with cream & cheese & soaked in sugar syrup. It’s crunchy, crispy, and not too sweet.

How To go to Al Seef Dubai by Metro

We went by Metro: Dubai is easily connected through the metro and the nearest station to reach Al Seef is by getting down at Sharaf DG (formerly Al Fahidi) metro station.

When we reached the station, it started raining as it was predicted. So we went to the nearest shopping mall ( I forgot the name) and left after lunch.

The distance between the station and Al Seef is within 1km.

As we were living in Deira- old dubai, so we reached Al Seef in a very short time.
