Unlike Telugu films where release dates gets decided in the eleventh hour Hindi films generally lock a release date very well ahead of the actual release. Sample this, the Tagore remake in Hindi titled Gabbar has already decided on a release date even before it has gone on to sets. The makers have decided to release it as an Independence Day gift next year on August 15.

Gabbar starring Akshay Kumar in the lead is directed by Telugu director Krish (Gamyam, Vedam fame) where as popular director Sanjay Leela Bhansali produces it. Shruti Haasan reportedly acts as heroine in this movie whose original was actually a AR Murugadoss directed Tamil film Ramana.
