Airport security camera records a woman allegedly trying to kidnap two little children at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The children were together with their parents on their way to Disney World.
The woman called Esther, a 26-year-old, approached a family and allegedly grabbed a stroller with a child inside, multiple TV’s reported. When the mother fought her off, Esther allegedly reached for the family’s second child before the father stopped her.
While the father was fighting Esther, a nearby traffic control officer immediately ran off to the family to help. The woman then left the scene and ran off.
The officer was following the running woman and after some time she was able to reach her. Shortly after the airport security backup arrived.
“Her behavior was very erratic, but we can’t really speak on what her mental state was, but we can agree that what she did was very erratic and odd, to say the least,” Atlanta police spokeswoman said.
Daniels was checked into a local hospital before she was arrested and charged with kidnapping and obstructing an officer. The police department is hailing the traffic officer as a hero for her quick thinking.
