March 2016
I teamed up with Rob Edgcumbe to provide media coverage of the 2016 Aerial Firefighting International conference. The highlight of the event were the aerial demonstrations session which included a variety of static display aircraft like this H215 on a U.S. Demo Tour. The original AS332 medium utility helicopter first flew in 1978 and continues to be developed. The H215 is capable of carrying 4 tons of water in a Bambi Bucket. Eurocopter was renamed Airbus Helicopters in 2014 and all current products were renamed by the start of 2016. On Airbus Helicopters designed in France, the main rotor turns clockwise when viewed from above, in common with Russian rotorcraft. Airbus Helicopters developed in Germany have a main rotor which turns counter-clockwise when viewed from above, in common with American helicopters. Nikon D300 w/18-200mm, processed with Aperture.
