This Qantas A380 was spotted at London Heathrow, one of ten operated by the flag carrier of Australia. Qantas is an acronym of the airline’s original name, Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services. This A380 wears the updated “Silver Roo” livery unveiled in 2016. The world’s largest passenger airliner, the A380 made its first flight in April 2005 and began commercial service with Qantas in 2008. Airbus ended A380 production in 2021 after its main customer, Emirates, cancelled an order for 39 of the aircraft. Qantas has announced plans to retire their A380s beginning in 2032.
