A Lufthansa A350 on a evening approach to SFO, wearing their new livery which was unveiled in 2018. Lufthansa took delivery of their first A350 in 2017, the first of 45 planned for their fleet. This particular A350-900 is named after the German city of Rostock. The Airbus A350 is a family of long-range, twin-engine wide-body jet airliners developed by European manufacturer Airbus. First flown in 2013, the A350 is the first Airbus aircraft with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer. 500 have been delivered to date.
