A TAP Airbus A330 lands at SFO after an 11+ hour flight from Lisbon, arriving on a rainy gloomy day. Operating since 1946, TAP Air Portugal is the state-owned flag carrier airline of Portugal. First flown in 2017, the Airbus A330neo (“neo” for “New Engine Option”) is a wide-body jet airliner developed by Airbus from the Airbus A330 and this is one of 19 in the TAP (Transportes Aéreos Portugueses) fleet. In fact TAP Air Portugal was the launch customer of the A330-900 in November 2018, and currently 97 have been delivered.
