Of Hawaiian’s current fleet of 61 aircraft, 24 are of this model. While this airline names each aircraft for Polynesian birds and constellations, this Airbus is named Hōkū Mau in honor of Micronesian navigator Mau Piailug. Hawaiian is the oldest US carrier that has never had a fatal accident or a hull loss throughout its history.
