Was happy to catch this American Airlines Airbus A321, “Flagship Valor”, wearing a special livery as a flying tribute dedicated to recipients of the Medal of Honor, the highest award for military valor in action. This aircraft was unveiled in March 2022 in conjunction with the groundbreaking for the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas. The A321 was the first derivative of the A320 family and first flew in 1993. This heavier and longer range A321-200 first flew in 1996 and is one of 218 A321-200s in the American fleet. Still in production, more than 2,800 have been delivered.
