Drake Took His Time To Address This Annoying Rumor
In order to pay tribute of Take Care’s 6 year anniversary, Drake posted a photo of the project’s original tracklist on Instagram, which was slightly different than the album we actually ended up getting. The photo was then posted on Complex’s social accounts, and though many fans were in the comments reminiscing about the album, one Instagram user decided to joke with Drake by commenting claiming that Take Care was written mostly by Abel, aka The Weeknd–a rumor that has been alive since the release of the album.
Drake wasn’t with being called out, and responded to the faceless IG poster in the comments of a now-deleted post.

Champagne Papi wrote under the photo, replying to the hurt fan saying: “Abel CO WROTE on ‘Shot For Me’ and ‘Practice,’ obviously was featured on ‘Crew Love’ and ‘The Ride’ and that’s it…There’s 20 songs on that album … don’t try me.”
People have long speculated that Abel’s contribution to Take Care was way more intricate than him just helping on a couple of songs, a lot of which was sparked by a 2013 interview in which The Weeknd claims a number of tracks he intended for House of Balloons were actually placed on Drake’s album.
Y’all better stop playing with Drake, someday he might be ready to risk it all.
