Every summer since 2012, the city of Águeda in the district of Aveiro has been taken over by umbrellas. Without a doubt, it’s quite a spectacle. People come from all over to view this summer-long art project.
But there’s more to Águeda than floating umbrellas, and that’s what this post is for. Many of the photos were taken in Alta Vila, a walled park/green space of gardens and a surprise of a bamboo forest, the rest around town and at the riverside.
