After Hyundai, Fast Food Restaurants KFC, Pizza Hut Under Fire Over Posts on Kashmir

New Delhi: After Carmaker Hyundai, fast food restaurants KFC and Pizza Hut attract a large reaction on social media over posting in Kashmir with their Pakistan-based franchise.

KFC, restaurant chain fast service (QSR), at social media posts support separatists in Kashmir and post “Kashmiris Kashmir.”

Similarly, verified accounts about ‘Pizzahutpak’ in Post Instagram said, “We stand with you. Solidarity Day Kashmir.”

KFC and Pizza Hut, QSR chain, are a subsidiary of Yum based US! Brand.

After anger, KFC apologized on social media during the post, said they “respect and respect India”.

“We are very sorry for posts published on several KFC social media channels abroad. We respect and respect India, and remain steadfast in our commitment to serve all Indians with pride,” according to a message about the official KFC Handle in India .

Pizza Hut also issued a statement after facing a counterattack saying “it does not forgive, support or approve the contents of post-circulating on social media”.

“It does not forgive, support, or approve the contents of post-circulating on social media. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serve all our brothers and sisters proudly,” he added.

Both KFC and Pizza Hut also lower their posts after #boycottkfc and #boycottqzahut start the trend on Twitter.

Previously, the Hyundai automotive manufacturer was under sharp criticism after a dealer in Pakistan posted a similar message on social media.

After posting, #boycotthyunda started a trend on Twitter in India with many users who asked people to stop buying products companies in this country.

However, Hyundai Motors India then posted a message about social media which said that he stood strongly because of respecting respectful nationalism.

“Hyundai Motor India has been committed to the Indian market for more than 25 years now and we stand firm for the strong ethos we respect nationalism,” he said, adding that they have a “zero tolerance policy” against non-sensitive communication.
