I needed a strong drink! I had experienced a lengthy delay and had taken a beyond basic low-cost flight from Ningbo, China to Bangkok, Thailand! I hit the ground running, from airport to hostel and then into those bright Silom lights! A Filipino energy? You already know that I found a slice of Manila in the shadows, I knew Bangkok would work her magic! Gusto mo? ใช่ ใช่ใช่!

It wasn't a race against time but I wanted that first beverage in my system quickly because the flight had been drier than a camels foot in a desert! Thai immigration welcomed me with a smile and even the lady who helped exchange my RMB into Baht served a 'Thai Smile!' After taking Bangkok's MRT from 'Don Meuang International Airport', I was able to check into my 'BRB Hostel' private room with the quickness! Heading out into the night was the right thing to do, I wanted to get my Silom night out done and dusted because I had heard a lot about that 'Gay-friendly' part of the city. 'Phat Phong Night Market' was my first stop, I was feeling very hungry and after such a delay, I needed to build back my energy because I was about to crash! Damn right, it felt ace to finally be in Bangkok, I was ready to start my Thai adventure with all of my senses heightened! What would I end up eating? I was open to anything but it had to be Thai food and not that spicy, sure I was excited! I knew the night was going to be one to remember!
Walking along Si Lom Road allowed me to access 'Thanon Phat Phong', I was greeted with a pulsing market area with many food and gift stalls. That buzzing street was my first introduction to Bangkok life but I knew that it was purely f0r people watching and food, I had other stuff to do! Parking myself a street side eatery, I ordered a king prawn dish with some leafy vegetables and rice. I needed something tasty and rapid because I had a show to see and drinks to consume! My scran was lovely, equally as fulfilling ended up being the views along 'Thanon Phat Phong' because those exotic female dancers were shaking what their mommas gave them! I saw a 'Ping Pong Show' establishment operating next to my dining spot, the name I can't even begin to recount! Refuelled and ready, I made my way back through those bright lights to find Si Lom Road once again. Of course, I wanted to see a certain show but nothing to do with ping pong balls! Bangkok took me under her wing, I was about to kickstart my night good and proper! ใช่!

Silom Soi 4 was the street for me! I was fronted with a million lights and a fair few more men in my direct view! Those neon lights shone more than a rainbow reflection, I had entered Silom's main 'Gay Bar Walking Street' and that was more than alright with me! I didn't know where to look! Of course, I did! I knew that I wanted to see a 'cabaret' show with performances from the glamazonian fronting 'krateoy' transgender dolls of Bangkok! I was gooped and gagged as I walked past the many bars, I did see a lot of white men and to be honest I was willing to swipe left on all of them because that's not my desired recipe. 'Banana Room Club' appealed to me from the second I saw their show previewed on a screen outside. Entering with an open mind, I was able to bag a reasonable seat with a good view of the stage. I wanted the show to begin with the quickness! With my bottle of 'LEO', I patiently waited for the next cabaret spectacle to begin along 'Silom Soi 4' in Bangkok, Thailand! Silom Soi 4 knew I wanted to experience everything!
Within moments four Ladyboy performers glided their way down from a flight of stairs, the stage was set on fire with a roaring performance! It was a 'lip sync extravaganza' with no crumbs left, I was gooped and gagged because their routine was slick! Those dolls worked and served like never before, for me it was a pleasure to see such a form of cabaret showcased! Of course, a male energy was present on the stage as several shirtless men tried their luck to be invited onto tables, it was giving 'Take Me Out Realness!' Now, one final show was about to show me more than I had expected, I was not sorry to say because what I saw was scandalous! A shower show? Now, I have seen my fair share of shower shows take place in certain establishments over the years but this was different! Starting off as something quite innocent, you know I was not mad at the climax, it was certain a very wet performance with a lot to showcase! I had seen enough, I wanted to head onto another venue as the night pressed on! Tyla's song 'Water' makes sense!

Pangina, who? Now, there was no denying that I wanted to experienced one of the venues linked to 'Drag Race Thailand host', 'Pangina Heals' during my first night spent in Bangkok, Thailand. I exited that 'walking street' to find myself back on 'Si Lom Road' with a scene of drunken orderliness because people were enjoying street food whilst respectfully intoxicated. I was not hungry for food, I knew what would satisfy that hunger and it wasn't going to be found at a streetside stall! 'BEEF' was out of the question because I didn't want to do crowds nor queue up, I didn't have the headspace to navigate that journey. I chose 'RUSH' because you already know I was looking for a rush of another kind, BKK was about to become nasty good! It's safe to say that I am no longer in my 'Club Kid Era' because my visit to 'RUSH' was for another reason! I paid my entrance fee and was ushered through a secret door, fronting two Gay clubs, that chaotic courtyard looked like a male centred paradise! I could smell the testosterone! A drink ticket, B?
Using my drink tickets, I didn't have any intentions to spend much paper at that bar because my entrance fee had been paid in full. I had heard that a certain addition had been opened at 'RUSH', you know I always have to find those darken spaces! A Dark Room? Yes, I do think! Naturally, it was a 'MEN ONLY' space with no exceptions! I headed into the the darkness, weaving in and out of those secretive settings, those walls could tell some truths! The usual suspects were clubbed together with a level of ignorance I was not going to entertain! Did I encounter a Filipino nature? It was a double serving of Pinoy passion, I had only just returned from that archipelago nation! Let me just say it was a lovely time had by all involved, I had no complaints and even picked up a few new words in Tagalog! It wasn't just a magic moment it was also a language and cultural exchange to boot! Bangkok left me satisfied, from my evening meal to a doll focussed show, I got everything I needed at RUSH! Lawson called my name! Yes!
