If you have a morbid curiosity, you may have pondered your own afterlife. Are you able to sustain life without a certain part of your body? Are you noticing that your fingernails seem to be growing? Do you think your severed head would be able to stay alive in a jar and come to life later on? It’s possible that either answer is correct.
Davida Rappaport, a psychic and spiritual advisor who talked with Bustle, claims that “when the human body dies, it takes days, perhaps a week or two, for all components of the body to shut down and cease to operate properly.” A person is clinically dead when their heart stops beating, and they are usually unconscious at this time. A report by Claudia Hammond suggests that if starved of glucose, a nerve cell will die within three to seven minutes.
But whether or not you are breathing, microorganisms in your digestive system will continue to do their job. Anything beyond that, however, cannot technically survive death. If you want to have any chance of surviving a zombie apocalypse, you have to give up on the idea of being resurrected. The length of your fingernails and the frequency of your orgasms are both likely to increase. There are some strange transformations that happen to the body after death.
1. Possibility of ejaculation.
Even after death, the chances of you having normal ejaculatory function again are slim. Still, there are purported instances of real penetration, so the persistence is not in vain. An article in Men’s Health cited Dr. Judy Melinek of the Forensic Science Institute as saying, “Discharge close to the p£nis is usually merely fluid quietly leaking from the prostate of a deceased body.” To put it plainly, that is not ejaculating but rather leaking.
2 . Most people pass gas:
“After death, excess bacteria in the body grow, resulting in excessive flatulence.” As the body begins to exhale, noises are produced by the trachea.
It’s a minor detail, not a genuine advantage. Even though the body stops producing hair and nails shortly after death, they continue to “grow.” Their hair and nails continue to decline despite their best efforts. Since the length of both hair and nails is normally referred to in terms of their distance from the root to the tip of the shaft, “length,” the verb “grow” is replaced by “to do.”
3. Brain Activity (Drug Use).
Unfortunately, a side effect of modern technology is a less distinct boundary between the living and the dead. The heart stops beating, but the brain remains functional. After a dying person’s heart stops beating and breathing stops, the brain is technically still alive for a few minutes, although most doctors will declare the patient dead after a minute has passed. I’ve arrived at this location. During this period, brain cells desperately look for oxygen and nourishment in order to maintain their own viability. With the right treatment and environment, the time before damage becomes permanent can be increased from minutes to days. People generally share my thoughts: “I just can’t believe how much fun I’m having!” “The scariest aspect of dying was thinking about the sentient brain that could be trapped inside the dead body for several days.” “The fact that there was no instant pain after the damage was what did it.” Don’t worry; I’ve got that taken care of, too.
4. Skin Cell Growth.
The mortality rate varies greatly from one place to the next, and this is only one more example. Even if some cells are more robust than others, losing oxygen to brain cells can be lethal in a matter of minutes. Skin cells are highly resilient because they have adapted to a surface environment and can stealthily absorb nutrients through the skin’s permeability. It’s probably best that they have zero brains.
5. Urination.
Going to the restroom to urinate is, in our view, entirely optional. We tend to be on the money, but if something is truly hilarious, you may find yourself unable to consciously urinate. Our brains have always set aside processing power to deal with it, so we don’t even have to give it any deliberate consideration. Because of this, we often urinate when we don’t intend to. When brain activity drops in the area responsible for keeping the urethral sphincter closed, urination becomes impossible. There is a delay of many hours before the onset of rigor mortis, the stiffening of muscles after death. When a person passes away, their body quickly begins to relax, and they begin to urinate.
6. Poop.
As a result of stress, our bodies produce harmful chemicals whenever we are in the spotlight. Basically, the body just relaxes and puts things down, which is a start in the right direction. The gases given off by a corpse are useful in all of these procedures. This is possible even after a person has passed away. Defecation has the potential to be the first and last acts of our existence, given that fetuses can defecate while still in the womb (yes, it’s true!).
