Though I live near the area, there are only two restaurants along Visayas Avenue my family and I frequently visit. If we decide to dine in a different place, the nearest mall is the safest bet. It all works out sometimes but with the number of vehicles, going to the mall can be a hassle.
But things are now going to change because there's another restaurant that caught my attention. The place is called Chubs Chasers, a casual Filipino-American restaurant that offers All Day Breakfast, pasta dishes, premium steaks, and lots of chicken. Just a little note when ordering. Make sure to read their menu carefully because they have numerous good choices. So, you are sure to find something that'll suit your taste and satisfy your cravings as I did!

As mentioned, I did find what satisfied my cravings and those are as follows: Sinful Sandwich is a pan-seared chicken fillet, bacon, ham, sunny-side up eggs, lettuce, cheese sauce, Chub's barbecue sauce and aioli, covered with flavourful toasted flatbread, and pomme frites on the side. I think you already know why I love this. Every layer is filled with goodness; not to mention, the bread itself is delicious.
Pesto Malunggay Pasta is made of linguine pasta sauteed in Chubs' very own pesto-malunggay sauce made with 100% fresh ingredients topped with roasted chicken bits, Chub's sweet sauce, garlic chips, and Parmesan cheese. If you know me personally, you won't be surprised by this selection because I love pesto and pasta. However, there are only a few restaurants that serve a good plate. Chubs Chaser's version is included in my list.
Do you love chicken? Their Carvylicious Chicken which is oven-roasted chicken with the sealed-in juices and aroma of herbs and spices is a must-try! I'm pretty sure the whole family even the kids will love it. It's tasty and savoury perfect for any occasion or any day.
But if you prefer steak, you'll be happy to know that Chubs Chasers offers affordable steaks. I know what you're thinking. "If it's affordable, then it's not good." Sorry to burst your bubble, but their steaks are not cheap they're legit especially the T-Bone Steak and Tenderloin Steak.
A little tip: If you're dining solo, you pick whichever you like. But if you're with your family or friends, I suggest their *Chubby Platter because it has chubby portions of T-bone, Salisbury patties, Pork Steak, Baby Back Ribs, and Country Fried Chicken served with steamed rice or mashed potato and choice of two sides. Mas sulit, right?
*Note: Chubs Chasers is one of the first restaurants to offer affordable steak and ribs with two (2) portion sizes whichthey call: sexy and chubby.
When it comes to drinks, I highly-recommend their Cucumber Malunggay drink. They do have milkshakes but if you don't like sweets then go for their fruit shakes as I mentioned.
Lastly, end your lovely meal with their creamy and oh-so-delicious Mango Brava made of sinful layers of Graham, mango cream, and slivers of fresh, ripe mangoes. You'll thank me.
The question now is, will I come back? Definitely! My family and I have dined at their SM North branch. But it's not always a good idea to go to malls because of traffic. Good thing, there's another restaurant worth visiting in Visayas Avenue.
Chubs Chasers is very accessible to public transportation as it's along Visayas Avenue. If you have a car, no worries because they have parking spaces available. Their resto is well-ventilated and clean and of course, the number one reason I'm returning is their delicious and affordable dishes.
