Adrienne Bailon took a moment today on The Real to publicly apologize to 3LW band mate Naturi Naughton for the fallout that happened with the group when they were teenagers.
So here is the backstory.
According to an interview Naughton conducted with MTV in 2002, an argument erupted between the group’s manager Michelle Williams (who is also the mother of third 3LW member Kiely) and Naughton. Williams allegedly didn’t want her in the group and convinced Bailon and Kielly they’d be better off. Words were said and someone in a fit of rage threw a plate of food on Naughton.
So when Naughton, who is pregnant with her first child stopped by The Real, Bailon, who is a Christian took an opportunity to publicly apologize.
Here is some of Bailon’s apology:
And I thank God for the time that I got to actually talk to you a few years back, we had seen each other at an Us Weekly party.
See, years ago. And we sat down and we talked everything out. And I was able to apologize to you if ever, you know, there was a lot that went on in that time that now looking back it’s like we were so young and it was crazy.
We all deal with difficult relationships. When a relationship is strained we need to find the words that bring healing, not strife and more destruction, so I applaud Adrienne!
