Hands up who’s going to the Adele Concert? Adele is a great singer who happens to be only 22 and hails from London England, will be in Barcelona on Friday April 1st 2011 at the Sala Bikini. She says that both of her albums — 2008′s 19, for which she won Best New Artist at the Grammys, and this one, 21 — are about two different boys. The stories she tells about them are average and familiar and the voice she uses to tell them is a force of nature. It’s brawny and yet flashy at the same time.
Adele Concert Barcelona – Adele’s Beginnings
Adele began her career in 2006 when she made a presentation at her school where she sang the song “Rise” by Gabrielle and gradually began to become better known. In May 2006 she graduated from the famous BRIT School in Croydon, South London where she was a classmate with Leona Lewis.
Just a month later, she had a three-song demo posted on the Internet and Adele’s breakthrough song, “Hometown Glory”, was released in October 2007. It was a song that spoke of her native district of Tottenham in North London, with Peacemaker Recordings label and gained great success through MySpace. Adele provided vocals for Jack Peñate‘s song, “My Yvonne”, from his debut album.
At that time the media began to pay attention to what she was doing and her career began to rise significantly until she signed a contract with XL Recordings.
Signed to this record label, she released “Chasing Pavements”, her most famous song up till now which has been played all over radio stations worldwide. In 2009, Adele won two Grammy Awards, Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, at the 51st Grammy Awards.
