A strip like this will work for larger televisions, say over 50 inches, although it's also long enough to run along a wall, under some cabinets, or the like. I have to admit, I love the home theater application - and as a side benefit, this is the type of lighting good for reducing eye strain when you watch TV (or play video games) with the lights off.
