Police arrested actress Damitha Abeyratne during a protest campaign held at the Polduwa junction in Battaramulla yesterday.
Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that she has been arrested on several charges which included entering the Presidential Secretariat illegally and obstructing the police officials of the Colombo Central Division after the protesters occupied the Presidential Secretariat on July 9.
