Actor Profile: Vin Diesel

Posted on the 19 July 2015 by Sirmac2 @macthemovieguy

Vin Diesel turns 38 today. Say what you want, he’s managed to revive his career lately thanks to his return to the Fast and Furious franchise.

BEST PERFORMANCE
Boiler Room wins this category despite the fact he’s in Saving Private Ryan. He’s not really used a lot in either, but he gets a bit more screentime in Boiler Room. He’s a stock trader. He’d never get offered a role like that again nowadays. It’s a shame. I think he’s an underused actor.
MOST ICONIC ROLE
Well, obviously his most Iconic Role is as Dominic Toretto in The Fast and The Furious franchise. After doing seven films, and making billions of dollars at the box office, even with his other notable roles, this still wins. Sure, everyone knows he’s also Riddick, and Xander Cage.
MOST OVERLOOKED PERFORMANCE
Did you know he was the voice of The Iron Giant? I mean, it’s not really a “performance” persay, but the movie is great. If you haven’t seen it, definitely do.
BEST PERFORMANCE I’VE HEARD WAS GREAT, BUT HAVEN’T SEEN
I’ll admit, I heard he was pretty good in Find Me Guilty, but I didn’t get to see it.
WORST PERFORMANCE
I really hated The Chronicles Of Riddick. Pitch Black was good, but the sequel was not.
