Again, choosing today’s actor was tough. I usually try to use the criteria of “see 10 roles” of the actor I’ve chosen. I couldn’t quite meet that yesterday with Mark Webber, and I really didn’t meet it today with Omar Epps. I thought about choosing Judy Greer, but most of her roles she plays an extremely supporting character. There were some films that I’ve seen that she’s apparently in and I can’t even remember her being in them. And Josh Holloway, aside from being Sawyer on Lost… I dunno.
I’ve technically seen 10 roles of Omar Epps, but I don’t remember him in every film he’s actually been in.
BEST PERFORMANCE:
I’m gonna go with Love and Basketball. I thought it was a really strong drama when I saw it some 10+ years ago, and even though I remember Sanaa Lathan more from that film, I still remember Omar Epps being really great in it. I could also choose his role in House, but he was always being upstaged by Hugh Laurie.
MOST ICONIC ROLE:
Dr Eric Foreman on House. I think most people know him from House.
MOST UNDERRATED PERFORMANCE:
In Too Deep. The movie is meh, but he’s pretty good in it. And while I’m at it, The Wood wasn’t a bad film either.
BEST PERFORMANCE I’VE HEARD WAS GREAT, BUT HAVEN’T SEEN:
Brother, directed by Takeshi Kitano. I always heard good things about the film. It has a 7.2 on IMDB, which isn’t bad.
WORST PERFORMANCE:
Breakfast Of Champions was an awful, awful movie, but I don’t actually remember him from that. I think I may have blocked him from my mind. So I’ll also nominate Big Trouble, which I do remember him from, and I remember him also not being funny.
Hopefully tomorrow will be easier. Really hoping I get to choose an actress.
