Actor Profile: Johnny Depp

Posted on the 20 August 2016 by Sirmac2 @macthemovieguy

Having just seen Black Mass, I felt I needed to finally do an Actor Profile for Johnny Depp, who only seems to get better with age. Seriously, if you haven’t seen Black Mass, do yourself a favor and watch it.

BEST PERFORMANCE:
He’s had so many really great performances. He brings something unique to his roles. I kinda want to choose his quiet performance in Finding Neverland, and also his performance in Donnie Brasco, but I’m most recently impressed with his performance in Black Mass, which was pretty incredible too.

MOST ICONIC PERFORMANCE:
He’s obviously best known for being Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean, which is pretty surprising considering how many films he’s done that have produced iconic roles, like Alice In Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, and Sleepy Hollow.

MOST UNDERRATED PERFORMANCE:
Go back in time and watch Nick of Time. Underrated performance, underrated movie. If you’re a Johnny Depp fan, you might have skipped this film.

BEST PERFORMANCE I’VE HEARD WAS GOOD AND HAVEN’T SEEN:
Admittedly, I’ve never seen Edward Scissorhands in its entirety, which is why I haven’t listed it. I should watch the whole film sometime.

WORST PERFORMANCE/FILM:
I really hated The Ninth Gate, which is probably his worst film. Yes, that includes The Tourist.
