The Western Province Southern Crime Division has arrested three people, including an activist in the ‘Aragalaya’ protest for robbing a bag from a businessman after assaulting him.
According to the police they had snatched the bag believing it contained money. But the businessman only had a few other items in the bag on that day. The police say that the suspect is a former army soldier.
Police have found the bag containing the looted goods and also the motorcycle used by the suspects.
