Activist Dhaniz Ali who was arrested on Tuesday night was remanded till August 5 after being produced before Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday.
Danish Ali was arrested by the Police on board of a flight bound to Dubai on Tuesday night. He was brought to the Airport police.
Police sources said that the suspect was brought to the Cinnamon Gardens police yesterday noon to be produced before court. Police said that Dhaniz Ali was arrested for storming into Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation on July 13 in a violent manner, making a threatening statement live on air, and forcing to suspend the transmission of SLRC for a brief period.
