Let’s admit it! Acne, blemishes, pimples can be such a turn-off! Imagine talking to someone who has a huge red pimple sitting on their nose. Isn’t it distracting? I should know, I experienced being on the receiving end of that discriminating stare. I just want the floor to open and swallow me alive. Okay, I’m exaggerating, but still it was embarrassing, at least for me. And truth be told, I’m not a huge fan of pricking (ouch!). Thank goodness I discovered the following acne-removal products, minus the excruciating pain!

This Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Spot Treatment Gel is heaven-sent, and you gotta believe me! I know there are three other products from their anti-blemish line — cleansing foam, clarifying lotion, and clearing moisturizer — but the one I use the most is the spot treatment gel. It dries up my huge pimple FAST, and when I say fast, as in in-just-2-days fast! And then it becomes smaller until it’s gone. The only downside to this is that it stings a bit (but the pain is tolerable) so make sure to apply only a thin layer of the gel on your red spot. It’s allergy tested and 100% fragrance free so I guess even those with sensitive skin can try this out. I don’t know the price of this in the Philippines since I got this on a trip abroad last year. I will visit Clinique counter soon because I ran out of this already anyway, so I will get back to you asap with the price! :)

And as if pimples on the face aren’t enough, back acne also exists! For the unlucky ones (huhu like me) this means no showing-off the back and backless outfits. Well, that’s about to end! This product from Celeteque specifically targets that problematic area! I love that it’s in spray form because I can’t imagine how I can spread a gel-type product on my back. The direction says: “Spray directly onto affected areas of the back after bathing. Allow skin to dry before dressing.”Unlike the Clinique spot treatment gel, this one does not sting when sprayed to my back. So far, it helps reduce my acne marks but the effect takes quite a while. The price of the Celeteque Back Acne Spray is Php 320, available at Watsons.

To cap off my list of acne-removal products is this Andalou Naturals Blemish Vanishing Gel. I only started using this one recently. It’s quite similar to Clinique’s spot treatment gel, in a sense that they are both in gel form and both stings (also contains hydroxyl acid) when applied. But then again, the pain is tolerable and I don’t mind it if it means my acne will be gone. But it’s still hands down to Clinique for drying up pimples fast, because this one takes 3 to 4 days. Plus points for these organic active ingredients included: Apple Fruit Stem Cell Cultures, Grape Fruit Stem Cell Cultures, BioActive 8 Berry Complex, Certified Organic Aloe VeraPlus. This product is available at Healthy Options for only Php 575.00.
