Verdict on Absolution
Recap
The movie follows an aging enforcer for a criminal gang who discovers he is serious health problem. He decides he wants to make up with his family and leave the world behind. However, things don’t go as smoothly as he planned.
Best Parts
This creates a sense of regret in the Thug character, which is one we have seen plenty of times. It shows his errors have left him in the situation and that he doesn’t get what he deserves.
Worst Parts
The pace of the movie is slower than it needs to be. It struggles to make anything of the mistakes he made, and he relies on violence to make up for his violent past. The leaving the gangster life behind story has been done a lot, and this is one of the weakest outputs to date.
Final Thoughts –Absolution struggles to get going and fails to get the point across.
