About Anime Extended

Posted on the 26 September 2014 by Kaminomi @OrganizationASG

Today, we’re going to debut a brand new feature that will make an attempt to take a look at highly praised anime series from the past in a manner that involves a brand new perspective. Specifically, a perspective from someone who hasn’t watched the anime.

We call it Anime Extended.

The name of it actually is based off a couple of shows I used to watch on TV (Hint: they were on TechTV), but while the name probably doesn’t match up with anything convenient, the point of it is simple: we bring in two perspectives — one who has finished the anime, and one who hasn’t — and have them discuss why their favorite anime is good. Or bad! This is mainly a hope that for anything that we cover we can totally get those who’ve already watched it to reminisce about the show and for those on the fence that you should totally go watch it. And especially considering the release of anime in the US, sometimes that type of perspective can be fairly helpful.

This feature is still a work in progress, and obviously things can change, but still, support of the feature would be great. So any suggestions, criticisms, etc, would be nice.

We’ll debut the new feature with Natsume Yujincho in a bit later today, and it would be great if you can let us know what works and what doesn’t. You’ll also hear (and read if you so choose) a recording of another well loved anime series most likely on Monday or Tuesday. We’ll see how this thing evolves, and maybe it’ll evolve into something good. We welcome your support!
