Verdict on Abigail

Recap

The movie follows a group of criminals who kidnap a girl in hopes of getting a ransom. However, they make a startling discovery about the girl as they start getting attacked in the shadows.

Best Parts

The movie embraces the chaos of the kidnapping gone wrong. However, it goes in a direction you wouldn’t expect unleashing everything. It never holds back and pokes fun at the vampire sub-genre and the constant series of different rules sets put in place. We get a fantastic cast who bring the characters to life, with Kathryn Newton and Kevin Durand stealing the show.

Worst Parts

The trailer gave way too much away, as it starts as more of a thriller before turning into a bloodbath horror comedy.

Final ThoughtsAbigail is enjoyable and chaotic.
