Story: Project Gutenberg starts as we see how Lee Man (Kwok) has been arrested for his involvement in a counterfeiting operation in Hone Kong, forced to recount his story from struggling artist, to the right-hand man for mastermind known as the Painter (Yun-Fat) who has been running the operation of counterfeiting money for years.
As the story unfolds we learn how deep into the world Lee ended up and how dangerous it can become for someone who isn’t ready to be involved in a fight.

Thoughts – Project Gutenberg is an action thriller that will show how one man gets drawn into the criminal underworld with promises of his skills being used to make money, only for him to learn how deadly the world has become. This is a thriller with plenty of twists along the way, ones that will keep us guessing to the truth we are going to see, in the same lines that ‘The Usual Suspects’ using the one person’s narrative of events to keep things secret to him. When it comes to the action sequences, there is one slow-motion shot that is amazing to watch, even if most of the rest is everything you would expect from wild shootouts. The performances in the film are great with the cast keeping the truth about their characters action hidden with each scene they are in.
Final Thoughts – Project Gutenberg is an intense crime thriller, holding on plenty of twists along the way.
