Story: Albert Nobbs starts as we meet calm polite butler Albert Nobbs (Close) who works in an elegant hotel, where he has his own secret, Albert is a woman in disguise trying to have her own independence, which is not normally accepted in the 19th century.
When Albert meets Hubert Page (McTeer), she learns that she isn’t the only one hiding their true identity in the area and becomes fascinated about how Hubert has done so much with her life.

Thoughts – Albert Nobbs is a drama that will show an incredibly secret life one woman lived, where she will learn about other women who are looking to have their own independence, where they worked a job only a man would be accepted in. This will create a love triangle, which will only make the situation more complicated for Albert’s life. Glenn Close in the leading role is brilliant making each move of her character needing to do things a certain way in life. The supporting cast is great too, where everyone is great to watch. This is a film that will make you want to want to see what happens in this world, with the hopes and dreams of Albert being the driving force of the film.
Final Thoughts – Albert Nobbs is a powerful drama that will be carried by the stunning performance from Glenn Close.
