Story: Charlie’s Angel starts as we learn the scale of the network of Bosley’s and Angels, which has now gone global. John Bosley (Stewart) is retiring leaving Boz (Banks) to run the operations from his office, with the first main assignment being for Sabina (Stewart) and Jane (Balinska) who are looking to secure a whistle-blower Elena (Scott).
Believing there might be a mole inside the organisation, Boz arranges for the three women to go in search of a device which would cause major damage, showing how three different styles can come together to save the day.
Thoughts on Charlie’s Angels
Characters – Sabina Wilson is a laidback member of the team, she likes to party, living the best possible life away from the agency, she is more of a people person than the rest of the angels, usually providing a distraction on the missions. Jane is the former MI6 agent that is much more of a military trained waiting for the chance to get involved in the fights they find themselves in. Elena works for a technology company that has created a new power source, only she knows the danger it could bring and wants to expose the truth before it is too late, finding herself working with the angels to stop the threat. Boz is the member of the team that is taking over the office, she leads the women on the mission. The film does struggle with creating a villain with more being suspects rather than real threats.
Performances – Kristen Stewart returns to the mainstream with a role that brings us plenty of entertainment, filled with laughs along the way. Naomi Scott continued her rise to fame with how she can step into the role which gives her everything, with Ella Balinska being the more controlled with the conflict heavy role. The rest of the cast a great to watch playing into roles you would expect for the most part.
Story – The story here follows Charlie’s Angels a now international organisation of women spies that look to stop evil in the world, as they face their latest threat, one that is a lot more personal than they are used to and one that will see them needing to learn to work together to become a stronger unite. This is a reboot of the series, that became a film, that tried to be a series again, only this time we get to see everything in a bigger light, a bigger company, not just three angels working for a billionaire. This does make this story feel different, in a way that Men in Black failed to capture the large world. When it comes to the events of the story, it is the by the book style, while trying to give us plenty of extra twists along the way, which can take away from the bigger picture going on, even if it does give us plenty of suspects, none of them feel like a real threat here.
Action/Comedy – The action in the film is entertaining, be it the car chases, the fight sequences each with a different style depending on the angel involved in them.
Settings – The film does make the most of the international agency, by taking us around the world for the different events in the film.

Final Thoughts – Entertaining addition to the world of Charlie’s Angels, that delivers fun action, solid laughs and kick ass leading ladies.
