Small plates and boozy shakes at Abandon Ship Glasgow
Glasgow’s newest bar and restaurant, Abandon Ship has launched new small plates, boozy hard shakes and dessert menu.
Guests can enjoy excellent global-inspired dishes from their kitchen such as slow-cooked sticky beef short rib on the bone, pineapple mustard and crispy shallots, blackened beetroot with homemade cornbread with pickled beetroot relish and whipped crowdie. There’s also sides like fried halloumi, harissa yoghurt with pomegranate and mint, alongside juicy pretzel bun burgers and mouth-watering double-dredged Southern-style wings.
And if you’re still hungry after that, Abandon Ship has created a tempting dessert menu that features a nostalgic deep fried mars bar Taquito with indulgent vanilla ice cream.
There’s also their boozy hard shakes menu which are served stack high. ‘Going Overboard’ is one of their signature freak shakes with creamy vanilla ice cream, spiced rum, Amaretto, lashings of cherry syrup, whipped cream, Biscoff biscuit, biscuit crumb and a cherry on top.
Speaking of the menu, group executive chef, Nathan Kidney said:
“Bold flavours and imaginative small plates are what you’ll find on our new menu. We wanted our customers to experience excellent international dishes at whatever time of the day they visit.
“Whether you fancy lunch or a late-night boozy shake, we’ve got something for everyone on the menu.”
Abandon Ship Bar is located at 43 Mitchell St, Glasgow G1 3LA
