Receiving my prize (Galaxy Tab 750) upon becoming the Samsung Mobiler
It was on 3rd October 2011 that I was awarded the privilege of calling myself a Samsung Mobiler. And what a year it has been since, definitely one of the most exciting years of my life. Okay, my novel Dream’s Sake also got published in the same year, so that had a role in the excitement too
When I wrote the blog post for Samsung’s contest on Indiblogger, I had only a tiny bit of hope of winning it. And that tiny bit was there only because one can never be totally hopeless in one’s attempt. Even in the face of total failure, a tiny bit of hope for a miracle of success still lingers on.
And this miracle of success is exactly what shone over me.
I had seen in movies people not being able to talk because of too much happiness. I experienced it on the day when I received the mail informing me of my win. Couldn’t even inform my mother about it without letting my voice tremble, such an unexpectedly happy surprise it was.

And then, when I went to receive my prize on 3rd October and meet other mobilers, I got yet another surprise. I was the only girl in the team of 20! And that made me the first and the only woman Samsung Mobiler in India!
And what an absolute pleasure being a Samsung Mobiler has been. Attending mobile launches, getting opportunity to use and review awesome devices like Samsung Galaxy Note, Omnia W, Samsung Galaxy SIII etc, promoting them, making videos for them, and having a lot of fun in the process :p

And of course, winning Samsung Galaxy Tab, SIII and getting Galaxy Y Duos as gift. Never had I imagined that I’d be getting all this.
There was a time, in fact, barely half a decade ago, when I actually wondered, despairingly, of ever having a mobile of my own. But as they say, never despair for you never know what life has in store for you.
Never knew life had all this in store for me.
Though, believe it or not, I had actually once wished for it! I think it was on Facebook and in an answer to someone asking for people’s dream job in some group. And I had answered my dream job would be where I get the latest and best gadgets for review and for use! A kind angel must be looking over my shoulder when I wrote that. I should have also added reviewing luxury resorts and designer clothing and accessories etc!
But I must not be greedy. I should be thankful, and I am thankful for the wonderful surprise that life dropped in my lap. Dear Life, thank you very much!
And dear Samsung, thanks very much to you too! Now, keep the gadgets coming!
