DPRK state media reported that on February 20, 2017 (Monday) State Affairs Commission vice chair and DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju toured the Ryomyong Street which is “under construction”. Also in attendance was Minister of Chemical Industry and Vice Premier Ri Mu Yong. While he toured “various parts of the street, including the site for building 70-storied apartment houses, he encouraged servicepersons and builder in an all-out charge to wind up its construction before the Day of the Sun.” An on the spot consultative meeting was held which discussed “the matters arising in completing the street construction ahead of schedule.” Pak also toured and inspected the Sariwo’n Coal Mine and “deliberated on the markers for increasing the production of coal badly needed for various economic sectors.”
