A Walk on the Wild Side

By Richard Randall @aude11360

It was a glorious sunny morning today, so we decided to walk up to Beacon Hill with the dog.
Although the sun was shining it was a frosty morning but there was no wind blowing, so it felt quite mild. So mild in fact, that after about a mile or so, off came our hats and gloves. Maybe Spring is really on the way?

In total we walked a 90 minute circuit, about 4.5 miles. All three of us arrived home tired and hungry, but satisfied. The Mutt was tired from getting to sniff new scents; his nose was almost permanently sniffing the ground as we walked, and Mrs.R and myself were knackered from enjoying views we hadn’t seen before of the Durham countryside and coastline.

Our morning walk was thoroughly enjoyable and very peaceful. We only saw two other people the whole time we were out, both of whom were walking with their dogs.
We appreciate having the countryside and great sea views right on our doorstep, it definitely makes going out for some fresh air and exercise even more of a pleasure.
