Waiting To Exhale to this day is still one of those movies I can watch over and over again.
So to read the news that Lee Daniels is turning the iconic movie into a tv series had me overjoyed.
Author Terry McMillan, who wrote the book took to Twitter to share the news.
So, WAITING TO EXHALE is going to be a TV series. Produced by Lee Daniels. Attica Locke and Tembi Locke are writing. Anthony Hemingway will direct. I lucked out.

It's set to be written by sisters, producer Attica Locke ( Empire, Little Fires Everywhere) and TV actress Tembi Locke, and directed by Anthony Hemingway ( Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.).
The film starred Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett, Lela Rochon and Loretta Devine, I wonder who they will get to play these ladies in the updated tv version.
The soundtrack was also iconic, produced by Babyface it gave us Exhale (Shoop Shoop), Count On Me, Sitting Up In My Room, and Not Gon' Cry and It Hurts Like Hell.
Do any of ya'll remember when the cast was on the Oprah Winfrey Show to promote the movie and Oprah asked Whitney about Bobby and Whitney said," we're hear to talk about Exhale." Now, Whitney is my girl, but I couldn't believe she handled Oprah like that... but that was Whitney chile....
Exhale was a box office success, making over $67 million in North America, and garnered a MTV Movie Award nomination for Breakthrough Performance for Lela Rochon.
