A number of the contributors to the ebook I Will Survive: Personal gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender people in Singapore also have connections to our northern neighbour, Malaysia.

To mark the 55th Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) on 31 August 2012, this video was made to give hope to young LGBT Malaysians, to let society know about the discrimination that is faced by the LGBT community of Malaysia and to ask for Malaysians to stand up for equality and to stand against homophobia and discrimination.

The participants are from all ways of life; editors, fashion line owners, lecturers, students and NGO Workers.  The video was made by Samuel Aw, 18; Aaron Wong, 17; and Julia Tan Li Wen,19. Read more about them and their project here.
