A Vegetarian’s Outlook on Five Star Chicken

By Rohit Dassani

Five Star Chicken comes from a large Thai fast food conglomerate which was started in 1985. It came to India in 2012 with its first flagship store in Bangalore / Bengaluru itself. Currently it has more than 250+ outlets across the Southern States. Though the store is famous for its chicken and its related products the vegetarian options are also quite impressive.

Five Star Chicken is known for its value for money products. Most of the food served by FSC can be easily categorized in the fast food industry while their moto is to serve quick fresh value products. Tried a variety of their vegetarian products through home delivery. The packing was clean and the products came piping hot.

Veg Samosa – The Thai connection is easily seen here as the Indian Samosa’s are served on a stick. The Samosa’s were delicious and has a creamy filling of veggies like corn and so on.

Veg Fingers – Another food item on the stick, the veg fingers are deep fried till they are golden brown in color. The Fingers also had a lot of veggies and were quite good in taste.

Veg Roll – Flat bread with pieces of Veg Patty along with Mayo and cut veggies. The Roll was filling and mild in taste. Wish it came with a Wheat based paratha!

Masala Fries – Quite an interesting product especially for people who love spicy food. The Masala Fried are sprinkled with a spicy mix.

Yummy Veg Burger – Veg Burger with a veggie patty with mayo and veggies. The bread was fresh and quite soft. The Burger was delicious.

Aloo Paratha – Five Star Chicken is trying to add more options to their Indian menu like paratha and biryani. The Aloo Paratha is one of their main course products which comes with pickle.

Methi Paratha – The Methi Paratha is another such product which would be seen on their new menu. Very different than usual Parathas.

The veg products from Five Star Chicken are interesting and appeals to a very large audience of fast food as well as Indian food lovers. All the products comes with a great value for money tag.
