One really needs to get creative when space becomes a luxury. I'm amazed how this micro apartment in Paris was designed to fit all that one needs to live comfortably. French design firm betillon / dorval-bory used a minimalist approach to its design where light becomes an important element to compartmentalize the space. Using white as its primary color was key in making the apartment look more spacious than it actually is. This proves that square footage doesn't actually matter that much, but it's how you take advantage of it that counts.
